Sunrise Buckets - Where Life is Simple

If you love the beach and good food, like I do - you will love Sunrise Buckets. Ever since this restaurant opened, I've been a frequent visitor. Frequent like 4x a week frequent! What I love about the place is the beach-y feel, ambient music, affordable prices of the food, generous serving, friendliness of the staff (and owners), the quality and the one-of-a-kind selection of their food and drinks.

my personal favorite: Rootbeer float P105 + 12% tax
Here are some low-resolution photos I took:

Serene Serenitea

Ever since I had a taste of milk tea, I can't get enough of it. I may not be an expert when it comes to tea but when mixed with milk, I know how my milk tea should be. Lately, I have had my guilty pleasures and comfort from Serenitea. Personal favorites are Hokkaido milk tea with pearls and 75% sugar and Okinawa milk tea, 50% sugar. Serenitea's tea is freshly brewed and has no artificial flavors. I have yet to try their Yakult mixed drinks. For take outs, your drink must be consumed before 3 hours. Aside from herbal infused drinks, Serenitea has variety of snacks for an affordable price. One of the snacks I tried was the Chicken Chops.

Chicken Chops P65 (Fried breaded chicken fillet with fried basil leaves on the side)
One more think I like about Serenitea, for less than P100, you can buy yourself a wonderful treat. If only Serenitea is well distributed around the metro, I'll have it any day.

No 'GoodFellas (Steaks and Burgers)'

It took me quite a while to discover this oh so good burger and steak al fresco restaurant in Quezon City, thanks to my good friend, Ione. We also got there on a good timing, since they were having a promo of Buy 1 Take 1 on steaks and burgers. Lucky! But quite a downer, because how can you enjoy a good grilled burger and french fries without a beer to wash it down? It was almost liquor ban that night. I've never been a fan of American beers but that's what they have left to serve, Coors Gold.

GoodFellas is also a good place if you just want to hangout, chill, dine with your friends or even get some work done since they have free wi-fi. I will surely come back to try the rest of their burgers.
GoodFella burger (100g charbroiled burger served on oatie bun with lettuce and tomato). Solo P125; Combo P175 with fries and iced tea. Upgrade fries to onion rings +P25

It's not always H2O

One of the favorite things I do with my friends is to drink and get buzzed, especially after a hard week's work.

They say, mixed drinks are traitors - you don't get a hint of alcohol when you take a sip but after some time, you feel the buzz, the next thing you know, you're passed out drunk. Teehee!

Here are some of our favorite drinks when mixed.
Upper left:
Mojito
Bought and drank in Tagaytay Highlands:Peak
Best when shaken with shaved ice, not stirred.

Upper right and lower right:
Absolut Pears and Absolut Ruby Red
Bought and drank in BluFrog Ortigas Home Depot, Julia Vargas, Pasig city.
750ml - PhP 950
1L - PhP 1,140
Best when mixed with Sprite or 7Up, with lots of ice and lemon/lime wedge.

Lower left:
Jam juice
Bought and drank in Good Earth Roast, Rockwell Center, Makati city.
Jam juice (one plastic cup) - PhP 90
Jam juice in a jar (two plastic cups) - PhP 180
Best when stirred and cold.

Always keep in mind to consume alcoholic drinks in moderation.

Cheers!

Hola!

Hi everyone! I'm back with a new blog and here it is. In my whole life, I've never had a single favorite staple food or drink that I really stick to or the usual place to eat 'cause food had gone through evolution as well and there is always something new around the corner. I'm a big fan of eating and drinking and with my blog, this I can guarantee: I will try to be more adventurous and experimental with food. I will be honest with their quality, price, etc. and, I will provide you information about these food as much as I can. Anyway, that's it for now.

For restaurant suggestions, you can comment on this post or send me an email. Thank you!
